Special letter from James Environmental to Mike Difato, Potomac German Auto South Dear Mike, Recently, we had the opportunity of visiting your facility while updating your environmental compliance assurance programs. Since we did not have a chance to visit with you personally at the facility, I wanted to take a moment and share with you the summary of my observations and thoughts. Clearly, this is one of the finest auto recycling facilities I have had the opportunity of being involved with. What stands out most is the attention to detail in handling the products and the demonstrated environmental stewardship. I have not seen a cleaner or more organized warehouse. The attention to management in the vehicle storage yard to control of storm water drainage using the drain inlet and tile system is exceptional. From the use of secondary containment for fluid storage to the immaculate housekeeping around the fluid tanks to the clean and safely operated dismantling process, it is difficult to identify opportunities for improvement in operations.
